shorter races are better... silly me

From this past weekend I have realized how much more fun it is to run the shorter races mainly because you can actually run fast... I had a pretty decent 5 mile race this past sunday. It was kinda funny because right before the start of the race, the bicycle that was supposed to lead the race got a flat so Casey, who was on his bike at the time, offered his bike to lead. Training is going well here especially since the cooler weather is finally rolling in. It is actually supposed to snow here tonight.

Just to let you know, I will be in asheville next weekend for casey's friend John's wedding, if anyone is plannning on being in town then.... Oh yea, dont know if you guys already know this but Anna got married (to TR obviously) at the end of sept. They spend their honeymoon in Rocky mtn. national park so I got to see them on their way out.

Speaking of Marathons ...

Hey Girls, I just wanted to let you all know, that our little latter has run her first marathon! Kyle and I were able to come watch the end of the race, since it was in Akron, OH, just a few hours away. The course looked hilly, and it was 47 and raining out, but she did very well. She hit her goal pace through at least 15 miles ... and then the monkey jumped on her back.

And congrats to Flavinoid! Good job at the Asheville half! I don't know what your goals were, but it was your first half, right?

You silly people racing longer than ever needs be.
