Giving it a TRI
Hey everyone!
Just wanted to share with you that I will be training for my first Triathlon! The race is in October of 2007 and it's a sprint (250 yd swim, 9 mile bike, and a 2 mile run), so nothing to long just yet. I did a "time trial" to see where I am with my biking, seeing as I have never really biked seriously, and I did 9 miles in 26:37. Of course this was on a stationary bike, so a little quicker without hills and the elements to contend with. Any biking tips from anyone?
I also wanted to tell you that I have accepted a part-time position as a Personal Trainer at a club called O2 Fitness!! VERY excited about that :)
Hope everyone is doing well and training hard. Have a GREAT turkey day!!
Tiffer :)

Wow, good luck with your first triathalon. My advice about the bike is that you definitely want some clip-in petals. I really like Look petals because they are easy to clip-in and out of. Also, I feel that bike shorts are really helpful to prevent any soreness in your rear. Well, let me know how it goes. Talk to you soon.
