boulder runners...

So I finished my first real track workout on the new training schedule yesterday which was 3X200, 3X400, 3X800, 3X400. It actually went really well and I hit the paces despite the 90 degree weather. The interesting part of it was there were two (one male, one female) world-class looking Kenyans running on the track with me. When I say 'with' I mean they were effortlessly lapping me several times. To make matters even better ... I think it was Adam Goucher or some other national champion olympic athlete type also doing a workout on the track too. I guess you could call it inspiring... ahh well.. I was thinking about doing this 4.5 mile uphill (1900' climb) race this weekend, still contemplating it, but now Im starting to think it will be a bit over my head. The training schedule is going well and Ive already lost about 8 lbs from it. Well... I am off to a meeting with my advisor, not going to bring coffee:)
